Support for Ukraine

There are a number of initiatives in and around Balcombe to support Ukrainians, below is list of the initiatives Balcombe Parish Council are currently aware of. Homes for Ukraine in Balcombe

An informal group has been set up to support approximately 10 families who are applying to have Ukrainian families stay with them through the ‘Homes for Ukraine’ scheme.

If you consider you have any skills that could support people once they arrive, please get in touch.

Handcross Church – support for people in Ukraine

Handcross Church are arranging collections of supplies to be taken to Ukraine. These are being accepted at All Saints Church, Handcross between 9am – 11am on Mondays and Tuesdays. However if you are unable to get there at these times, items can be left in the porch of St Mary’s Church, Balcombe.

Refugees Welcome Crawley – Sponsored Walk

Balcombe residents Pam and Alex will be doing a sponsored walk later in the year to raise money for Refugees Welcome Crawley.  They completed one last year and raised over a £1,000. More details to follow when available.
