Jenny Edwards of the Green Party has been elected as a representative of Mid Sussex District Council in the Ardingly and Balcombe ward.
A by-election was held on Thursday 8th July 2021 following the death of Councillor Andrew MacNaughton earlier this year.
Votes were cast as follows:
Jenny EDWARDS (Green) – 452 votes – ELECTED
Ben JERRIT (Lib Dem) – 340 votes
Lorraine NUNES-CARVALHO (Conservative) – 409 votes
Carole Ann STEGGLES (Independent) – 23 votes
The total number of votes cast in the Mid Sussex District Council Ardingly and Balcombe Ward by-election was 1225. There was one rejected ballot paper and the turnout was 24.8%
