The Consultation Draft of the High Weald AONB Management Plan 2014-2019 is now available for public comment until 26 July 2013.

Why is it important? The Plan is a locally prepared and agreed statement of public policy for managing the area. The Plan highlights the features that give the area its special character and sets out what is needed to conserve and enhance those features for the next five years.

Comment on the whole Consultation Draft
or just email or write to us with your thoughts on:
• what you value about the High Weald AONB;
• what issues you think the landscape faces;
• and what you feel need to be done by local authorities and others to meet the purposes of AONB designation over the next 5 years.
You can also view hard copies of the Plan at the council offices of the 15 local authorities who have an area within their authority covered by the designation and at libraries in the area.

The Plan has been produced jointly by the area’s 15 local authorities through the High Weald Joint Advisory Committee.
