It is understood that in an article by Francis Maude MP to appear in the West Sussex County Times, and hopefully the Middy, there will be a statement about his understanding of Cuadrilla’s future plans for the Balcombe site.

BPC requested clarification from Cuadrilla, and has been advised

“The Balcombe site is suitable for exploration because of the previous history of exploration drilling by Conoco in 1986 but it is unlikely to be taken forward as a production site”
