Applications are invited for the part-time post of Balcombe Parish Clerk.
You will be responsible for managing the day to day affairs of the Parish as well as carrying out all the statutory functions. The Clerk is also responsible for the administration of the Council’s finances so some basic book-keeping is required.
The role requires good organisational and IT skills, sound financial and business sense, good management and interpersonal skills. Full training will be provided for the successful applicant.
The post is part time, approximately 20 hours per week, mostly working from home, including attendance at evening meetings (currently held via Zoom).
A generous hourly rate befits the nature and scope of the role.
It is expected that the successful candidate will take up the post by April/May2021 and will work alongside the present Clerk until she goes on maternity leave at the end of June 2021.
